The point of the work each week is to have students practice the format of paragraph writing, creating supporting details, and developing topic & closing sentences and NOT to be so focused on content that they shut down and shy away from writing. There are two weeks of grammar and writing practice in this folder. Students should complete grammar and writing assignments daily, but if they feel that they can move at a faster pace, they are welcome to do so. Please return the folders daily. We will need these in class so that students may share their successes AND challenges in writing. A sample of how to complete the writing assignment is in the folder. There is also a sample PowerPoint named the "Krispy Kreme Doughnut paragraph" that can be found under the Links/Family Resources page of the blog as well. If there are any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to make note of it. I HOPE that the students will enjoy learning not to fear writing!
